A Christmas meet-up at Christmas Town in Busch Gardens, Williamsburg.

-Dress warmly.

There will be a gift exchange: Items can be hand made or under a 5 dollar value.

There will be an ugly sweater Contest: First and Second place will win a scalemate as well as candy or an art commission.

We will be meeting outside by the ticket kioschs at 2:30 for a small bring your own lunch and the gift exchange.

Virginia Beach Can Town meet-up! (10/14/2012)

We collected close to a hundred cans/food items in total! Thank you so much, everyone who came. I would definitely call this a success. You guys are awesome!

With Thanksgiving and the winter holidays coming up, food banks are in even greater need of food and supplies than usual. We’ve seen from the Kickstarter that this fandom is passionate and giving, so let’s come together and give back to our community!

On Sunday, October 14th, at Mount Trashmore park in Virginia Beach, we will be collecting canned foods and other non perishable supplies (see list at the end of the description) and constructing our very own Can Town! We can all be MAYOrs. Another Can Town is planned for Nekocon, but the food bank can never have too many donations, plus this will allow folks who can’t go to the con, or can’t bring large amounts of food with them to the convention center, a chance to help out! Also, PLEASE don’t be afraid to invite family and friends to donate, even if they’re not into Homestuck! We want to get as much food as we can, and some people you know may not otherwise donate food. Just ask them! Maybe they’ll even just give you extra food to bring with you.

Location is set to be in the NOVA area, but a specific location is still pending. Slots are currently open and more information will be post shortly.

It was suggested that a google doc was made so here you go! This should be linked on the actual blog later, but I thought I’d go ahead and get it out there since it’s already on the FB group.

Just edit and add your name under “members”, unless of course you are a mod. You don’t have to hyperlink it and please don’t delete any URL that isn’t your own!!
